With Intention.

Pro Bono Services

We strive to foster an environment that holds service to the community in the highest regard. In practice, we embrace a sincere commitment to the advancement of social justice policy and reform. We are committed to expanding equal access to justice and view our provision of pro bono legal services as both an absolute obligation and a critical opportunity to advance fairness and equity. We provide countless hours of free legal counsel to the underserved, including the representation of clients at trial. We subsidize these cases with equal energy, enthusiasm, and resources as dedicated to our paying clientele. Allocating additional time and resources, we are also resolutely committed to serving clients in criminal matters through court appointments.

Diversity and Inclusion

We aspire to cultivate a legal practice that values diversity among its professionals and staff. Leading by example, we strongly believe that our clients and our communities are important beneficiaries of an inclusive and diverse legal practice. Building and emphasizing a culture of belonging, enhanced by unique human experiences and backgrounds, contributes to the positive health and betterment of society. It is our responsibility to shine a light, be a part of the solution and move the needle toward a healthier world by intently defending these fundamental truths and practicing these principles in our legal profession.

Community Engagement

We are an impassioned group of lawyers dedicated to civic and charitable organizations, readily filling needs in the community in which we serve. In addition to numerous volunteer activities, our lawyers have contributed to community as elected and appointed government officials and continue to serve on boards of charitable and nonprofit organizations. Each of our lawyers has also worked in service of the government including offices of the U.S. Army, Allegheny County District Attorney, and the Allegheny County Public Defender.

Civil Rights Protection

When people are treated unfairly, and deprived of their civil rights at the hands of local, state or federal government agents, we stand ready to enforce constitutional protections through litigation under civil rights statutes, including 42 U.S.C. 1983.   We have experience handling these matters, including at trial, on behalf of individuals who have been mistreated by police and corrections officers.

Our best each day for clients and community
